Ability 4 Us, a dedicated advocacy organization, plays a crucial role in championing a 4% Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) for New York State. Their mission centers around supporting the tireless workers who provide essential services to individuals with disabilities. These Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are the backbone of care, assisting people with developmental disabilities, aging individuals, medically fragile patients, and those transitioning into the community from care facilities. However, recognizing and rewarding DSPs is essential to retain and motivate them. Ability 4 Us seeks assistance in acknowledging and appreciating these hardworking DSPs who go above and beyond every day to enhance the lives of those they serve. By contributing to their efforts, we can ensure that DSPs receive the recognition and support they truly deserve¹².
